Recently, our happy herd of Hurley arrived home from the Atchafalaya Basin alongside our good friends Rise and Shine and Partners to share the heart and soul of The Original Louisiana Hot Sauce. Our whole process was guided with a simple question: What is “Louisiana Hot?" The answer we discovered, was wide-ranging, generous and compelling.
Partnering with the super talented (and super nice) directors Andrew and Carlos from Lobos and supported by the great production team at Easy Mondays, we spent three days submerged deep in the Louisiana Bayou to bring that flavor to life to the rest of the country. In keeping with the vibrant mix of materials, colors and imagery found in the area, we shot on multiple formats, from disposable cameras to 16mm to digital to do our best to convey the spirit of a part of the country that is distinct from everywhere else.
