Facing stagnant sales and a lack of consumer engagement, Pebbles Cereal needed to find its purpose. To reclaim the title of the country’s #1 kids cereal, they needed an idea big enough to resonate with millions of kids and kids at heart, from all types of families.
As other cereals were shying away from vibrant tastes and colors, Pebbles Cereal was seen as a relic of the past by many moms who felt bad about feeding it to their kids. We thought about it differently.
There’s boundless creative energy and excitement in every bowl of Pebbles Cereal. Starting the day with one prepares you to seek out a day full of exploration, curiosity and fun. In other words, it’s the inspiration to Yabba Dabba Do!
This simple, yet powerful idea modernized the brand while building on The Flintstone's equity. By offering a real, tangible benefit to kids and parents it fostered deep engagement and community and an invitation to join us.
Yabba Dabba Do! became the rally cry that brought the Pebbles Cereal brand back to #1 within 3 months and unified its voice across every touchpoint. The campaign still lives on more than ten years later as a testament to its strength.
